420 Outrage

The 420 Outrage is the flagship of the Boston Whaler brand. This project had a massive research component in order to understand how customers were using their boats, what their needs were, and where we were falling short. Ultimately, how we could make something bigger and better than the previous flagship? The design had an interesting path as well. The boat was started from the inside out, which is fairly atypical for us. We knew we wanted to include a full beam interior in the boat but it presented all sorts of challenges on the top side. We had to make sure the boat still felt safe as you walked down the walkways and that the proportion of the boat didn't get too tall. In the end it all worked out and we created one of the most advanced Boston Whaler's to date.
